Hayfield House Tours 

Follow our guides on a 60-minute tour of the historic Hayfield House. The home was built in 1930 by John and Bertha Conyngham. At the time, it was one of the most expensive and opulent houses in the area.

 

August 27, 2023, Hayfield House Tours are scheduled at

11:00 AM, 1:15 PM, and 3:00 PM

Meet at the front entrance of the Hayfield House 10 minutes before the scheduled times.

Andrea Doria Exhibit in the Friedman Art Gallery with discussions!

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Friedman Art Gallery exhibit "Andrea Doria: Dive to an Era" features items that were recovered by the internationally acclaimed scuba diver Gary Gentile. He recovered dishes, cups, plates, jewelry, ceramic panels by the Italian Artist Romano Rui, and much more. On August 27th during the Summer Arts Festival, Gary will discuss his extensive diving adventures from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and again from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the Barry Auditorium, Nesbitt Academic Commons Building, Room 103 right across from the Friedman Art Gallery. He will conduct tours of the Andria Doria exhibit in the Friedman Art Gallery after his talks.
